【摘要】:ThisInternationalStandardspecifiesatestmethodtosimulatetheheadimpactofanadultpedestriantothebonnettopofpassengervehiclesorlighttruckvehiclesofupto3,5t(GVM),asdefinedinISO3833.Theimpactdevicetobeusedinthistestmethodwillberobustforavehicleimpactvelocityofupto11m/s.Thetestmethodspecifiedaddressesthereductionofanadultpedestrianheadinjuryrisk;itdoesnottestforinjuriestootherregionsofthepedestrian.Theevaluationofinjuryrisktootherpedestrianbodyregionsshouldbedeterminedusingothertestmethods.Thistestmethoddoesnotconsiderdownwardpitchingofthevehicleduetopre-impactbraking.ThistestmethodandthecorrespondingHICmeasurementutilizesafreeflightheadformimpactoranddoesnotconsiderthekinematicsofthepedestrianbodyasawhole,nordoesitconsiderthesubsequentpost-impactkinematicsandpotentialinjuryrisk.NOTEThetestmethodcoversanadultpedestrianheadinasimulatedimpactwithamotorizedroadvehicle.Researchsuggestsvehiclesafetyimprovementsinvehiclederivedfromsuchpedestrianimpacttestsmaybebeneficialalsotobicyclistsinvehiclefrontimpact.
