【摘要】:Thistestmethodmaybeusedtodeterminethehailimpactresistanceofwindshieldsforacceptance,design,service,orresearchpurposes.Bycouplingthismethodwiththeinstalledangleandvelocityofaspecificaerospacevehicle,designallowables,criteria,andtolerancescanbeestablishedforthatvehicle’windshield.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationoftheimpactresistanceofanaerospacetransparentenclosure,hereinaftercalledwindshield,duringhailstormconditionsusingsimulatedhailstonesconsistingoficeballsmoldedundertightlycontrolledconditions.1.2Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.ForspecifichazardstatementsseeSection.
