【摘要】:ThisStandardprovidesausefulcriterionofpracticeinproduction,distribution,anduseofmetalcuttingbandsawblades.Itwasdevelopedtoprovidebladesthatwillmeetallnormalrequirementsofconsumers.Section3,definitions,indicatesthespecifictypesincommonusageandalsodefinesthevariouselements.ThisStandardcoverstoothshape,sizes,andtolerancesforregular,skiptooth,andhooktoothbandsawblades;anditalsosetsoutthedeterminationof:(a)bandsawbladedimensions;(b)toothformandset;(c)bladeflatnessandminimumhardnesscharacteristics.ThisisaStandardforuseintheUnitedStatesofAmerica,itsterritoriesandprotectorates.ThereforeEnglishunitsareconsideredstandarddimensions.MetricdimensionsshownarebasedontheRenardR-40systemforconversionandarefortheguidanceofthosecountriesusingmetricunitsastheirstandard.2FIELDOFAPPLICATIONThisStandardappliestocarbonhardedgeflexibleandtemperedbackbandsawbladesandintermediateandhighspeedsteelandcompositesteelbandsawblades;informationonfrictioncuttingbandsawbladesissetforthinAppendixI.
